A special invitation to enjoy our beautiful parks...

There is something about the ocean breeze; the whistling boughs of the towering redwoods.

They take our stress away.

They keep us connected--- to nature and to each other.

They remind us that there is more to this world than the problems we may be struggling with at the moment.

If we give ourselves a chance to just stop, breath, and listen, we can learn what nature has known all along:

We are all connected and we all have a special place in this crazy, beautiful world.

We all deserve a break to just BE and to enjoy these beautiful places called parks!

Here is an invitation from me to you:

Explore our Parks

Go to your favorite park. Take it all in. Take a deep breath and enjoy this precious moment.

Remember we are all connected and right now our parks play a very important role in keeping us connected and grounded.

The parks need your support. Become a member today!

We are able to enjoy so many parks for FREE in Mendocino County.

With the exception of 4 of the 17 State Parks in the Mendocino District, there are no day use or parking fees.

 Isn't that wonderful?!

But one of the biggest perks is also one of our greatest challenges.

Because these parks are not revenue generators, they receive very little support from the State level.

And that's where MendoParks steps in: What began in the 1980s as a handful of retired State Park Rangers who were concerned about budget cuts to park education now includes all of you who love parks!

By becoming a MendoParks Member, you help bring education and improvements to parks that would not otherwise have funding for these activities.

Our parks are better thanks to your support. Thank you for making a difference!

With Gratitude,

Elizabeth Cameron

Thank you for all the ways you make a difference for our parks!

None of this would be possible without you! Thank you!
