Celebrating Indigenous Stories

MendoParks serves State Parks on the unceded ancestral homelands of Northern Pomo, Coastal Pomo, Cahto, and Yuki peoples, who continue to care for these lands as they have since time immemorial.

As the original stewards of the lands which now comprise the California state parks, the First Peoples of California are important participants in the MendoParks community. The purpose of this page is to share relevant programs which include members of local tribes, and to share information about parks and their stories as told by First Nations people.
